Clubnight

General Clubnight Details

• Clubnights are recreational sessions for players of all abilities!
• Clubnights are open to everyone, both university members and members of the public.
• Clubnight sessions are usually supervised by a member of the university badminton club, who ensure that everyone gets an equal number of games.
• When playing you should be wearing non-marking trainers or court shoes.
• Rackets and plastic shuttles are provided at the session! It is recommended to bring your own racket if you have one.

Important: Please read and follow the instructions on the Accessing Iffley SC page to make sure you are able to enter Iffley for your session.

When and Where

• Session times are updated every week on PlayWaze (see "How to Book Sessions" below).
• Bookings for each session opens three days before the session start time.
• E.g. a session on Friday at 18:00 will open for booking on Tuesday at 18:00.
• Most clubnight sessions are run at Iffley Road Sports Centre, Iffley Rd, Oxford, OX4 1EQ. Some sessions may also be run at the nearby Magdalen College School, or Oxford High School in Summertown. See the bottom of the page for useful maps.

How to Book Sessions

• To book onto sessions, use the link below to “Join the Club” on PlayWaze and make an account.
• It is also highly recommended you join the Facebook group using the link below. All updates for sessions, including cancellations and other important information are posted on the facebook group. It also includes the instructions for accessing the various sports halls.
• Important: If you book onto a session and then cancel, refunds will NOT automatically be credited to your account. Please email oubac.clubnight@gmail.com with your name and the date of the session and we will credit the session to your PlayWaze account.
• This will allow you to book onto another session without paying again.

Important: Even though you are booking through PlayWaze, accessing Iffley Road Sports Centre still requires the use of the new Delcom access system, and its associated booking system (via the Oxford University Sport (OUS) app). Please read and follow the instructions on the Accessing Iffley SC page to make sure you are able to enter Iffley for your session.

Very Important: You MUST book (and pay) through PlayWaze to attend a given clubnight session. If you just book through the OUS app/Delcom, you will not be able to attend the clubnight session (one of our clubnight reps will be checking that attendees have indeed paid through PlayWaze). This is as we mainly track paid attendees through PlayWaze, the subsequent Delcom/OUS app part is just so those paid attendees are able to enter Iffley Sports Centre for their session.

Membership

Purchasing a membership allows you to book onto sessions for free. We offer a number of membership options. The exact dates each membership lasts for changes every year with Oxford term dates. You can see the dates for the latest year here.

• Yearly (Terms only): £39.5
• Yearly (Terms + Vacs): £47.5
• Pay per short vac (Christmas, Easter): £7.5
• Pay per long vac (Summer): £15
• Or £2 per session without membership
